Q. How well do your Bodykits fit?
A. The kits fit well, however due the nature of fibreglass we cannot
guarantee that the fitment will be perfect as each part might have
minor differences compared to the manufacturing moulds. Moreover each
car is slightly different and any accidents the car may have been
involved in (both in Australia and overseas, with or without your
knowledge) causes parts not to line up properly. Having said that
though fibreglass is a very versatile material and can be modified to
suit the lines and shape of the car it's going on. Rest assured that
we do our best to ensure customer satisfaction and we take all actions
possible to improve and remedy any fitting problems.
Q. Can you guarantee the fitting of fibreglass products?
A. Fitting of imported fibreglass products are good and we have
complete confidence in the parts we sell, however no guarantees can be
made since we have no control over the moulds. Locally manufactured
parts have a much higher degree of quality control and we can assure
customers that these items fit well. If you are not happy with the
product please let us know and we shall work through the problem to
gain a positive outcome for all parties.
Q. Why do some Bodykits cost more than others?
A. We sell both internationally imported kits that are produced in
large quantities and good economic exchange rates mean that these kits
cost considerably less than locally made items, of which we pass on
the savings to our customers. Our locally made fibreglass products
cost more due to the amount of R&D that goes into them, along with the
higher labour and material costs.
Q. Can you install the product for me?
A. No, We are a body styling products supplier only and unfortunately
are not able to install any of our products. We do not recommend
individual panel shop to fit the products as we would rather our
customers make their own educated decision, based on sound research.
We also suggest customers choose someone with experience in Bodykits
as fibreglass is a great material to work with, providing you have the
prior knowledge. Not all workshops are created equal, so we urge
customers to choose wisely and where possible try and see some of the
workshop's previous work.
Q. Is it hard to install a Bodykit?
A. For an experienced fibreglasser it is very simple to install our
products. However be aware that some Bodyshops have little to no
experience in installing aftermarket Bodykits, as most body/smash
repair shops are used to working with metal panels, not fibreglass. So
enquire about what materials they are confident in working with as
getting a fibreglass panel to line up correctly with the car can
sometimes take a few skills that not all Bodyshops have.
Q. Can I install the Bodykit myself?
A. Even though you might feel you have the experience and knowledge to
install it yourself, we do not suggest any of our customers install
the products themselves. At all times we strongly recommend a
professional undertake the whole installation process, to ensure the
best possible finish. Please note that to make the Bodykit fit your
car, some modifications (sanding, shaving, drilling, altering bumper
reinforcement, etc.) maybe necessary. IMPORTANT: Please have a
professional pre-fit the Bodykit and ensure you are happy with the fit
and finish BEFORE it is installed, painted or modified in any way – as
this will enable you to make any changes you see fit which will ensure
you are totally happy when it is finished. Bodyshops do vary in price
and quality so once again, we advise customers to do their research
and use a reputable company.
Q. What kind of body or panel shop I should look for to install the
Bodykit?
A. When looking for a body or panel shop to install your Bodykit, we
recommend looking for one with experience with fibreglass Bodykits.
For example: A Bodyshop with 30 years experience in doing collision
work but no experience in aftermarket Bodykits should be avoided. We
feel it would be better to take the Bodykit to a Bodyshop with just 2
years in business but specialises in aftermarket Bodykits.
Damage / Defective / Incorrect / Return Related
Q. I got my order and have signed for my product, but now I've noticed
there is damage to the product, what should I do?
A. PSI Parts is not responsible for damage during shipping. Please
make all claims for damaged items directly to the carrier. To avoid
receiving damaged goods we strongly recommend customers open their
package and inspect the goods whilst the carrier’s representative is
still present and/or not sign the delivery receipt or clearly note
that the Goods are only accepted subject to inspection.
Q. My product doesn't do what it was advertised to?
A. Please provide us a full description of the problem, accompanied
with pictures of the item in its defective state. The more detailed
the description and pictures, the easier it makes it for us to
determine what the issue is and will enable us to ensure a prompt
resolution. Defective items will be fully inspected before an exchange
or store credit is issued.
Q. My Bodykit doesn't fit, what should I do?
A. All Body Styling products (eg. Front/Rear bumpers, Side Skirts,
Fenders, Lips, Spoilers, etc.) require professional installation. To
make the Bodykit fit your car, you might need modification (sanding,
shaving, drilling, altering bumper reinforcement, etc.). Please have a
professional pre-fit the Bodykit before it is installed, painted or
modified in any way. However, in the event that a Bodykit does not fit
or is defective upon installation, we require customers to provide us
with the contact details of the Bodyshop where the Bodykit was
installed accompanied with a description, on the company letterhead,
from the Bodyshop describing the installation problem in detail with
photos. Please note that Bodykits that have been painted or modified
in any way cannot be returned.
Q. I received a different product from what I ordered, what do I do
now?
A. Notify us immediately of the situation. Send or email us a picture
of the items along with the product code and product identification
label on the outside of the package. This way we can verify with our
inventory list item was shipped to your address. Incorrect items will
also be subject to a full inspection before an exchange or store
credit is issued.
